Submission Guidelines

COPYRIGHT INFORMATION

All photography © Beach City Rocks and its respective photographers. This includes the Gallery, Photo of the Month, and all other photos on the site. DO NOT copy or distribute without express permission from the photographers. Please contact BCR, who will in turn contact the respective photographer.

Have any great trip photos to share? Or did you happen to snap some funny pictures at the gym? Send them in! Photos that do not conform to our guidelines will not be used.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1/ Only original, unaltered, unedited photos can be submitted.
2/ Photos must be numbered 01 to 50 (the maximum number for submission), with a suffix of either .jpg or .tif.
3/ We accept only .jpg of .tif formats.
4/ Photos must be, at the very least, of medium resolution, or 150 dpi.
5/ Photos must be burned to cd.
6/ Please supply the following information in a Word document, preferably on the same cd:

// Photographer's name, email, and url (if you have a website).
// Date and name of location (climbing area, nearby city, state), type of climbing (sport, bouldering, etc.).
// Model's first name only.

6/ You (or your child, or the photographer) must be a member of BCR.
7/ Images will take an additional 4 weeks to be posted if they do not meet all guidelines. Please help the webmaster!
8/ Drop off all cds at the gym; please indicate to the staff whether it is for the Gallery or Photo of the Month.
9/ CDs will be returned after 4 weeks.

GALLERY SUBMISSIONS

1/ In addition to the general guidelines, gallery submissions are limited to a maximum of 50 original, unaltered, unedited images.
2/ Please indicate on the cd that photos are for the Gallery.

PHOTO OF THE MONTH SUBMISSIONS

1/ In addition to the general guidelines, Photo of the Month submissions are limited to a maximum of 6 original, unaltered, unedited images per month. This means no captions and no Photoshop retouching beyond Brightness/Contrast or Levels.
2/ Please indicate on the cd that photos are for the Photo of the Month.
3/ Photo of the Month selections can be submitted at any time. Please note, however, that BCR makes its next selection during the last week of the current month.

COPYRIGHT INFORMATION

Stealing or copying other people's work is so not cool. If we catch you doing so, we'll post your IP address, name, and contact information for all the world to see what a dummy you are. So do't even try!
